Greater Baltimore Medical Center
Thank you for your interest in Greater Baltimore Medical Center. Please note the following information specific for agency personnel planning to work shifts in this community hospital.
GBMC does not use paper time slips. An electronic badge-in and badge-out system is used both for time and attendance as well as for payroll purposes for all CMS associates. This system is called Kronos and you will be required to obtain a Kronos number from the staffing office in order to schedule shifts at GBMC. Click here to review the Kronos electronic timekeeping system instructions prior to your first shift.
Agency personnel must obtain a GBMC Photo ID badge. This badge is to be displayed on top of your CMS ID badge. The GBMC Photo ID badge number is also your Kronos number that you will use to badge-in and badge-out at GBMC.
At times, agency nurses may be asked to rotate to units other than the unit that was scheduled. This is part of the staffing pattern at GBMC and you should be aware of this practice before you schedule shifts at GBMC. The staffing office makes every attempt to be fair in the "floating" policy with agency nurses as well as the internal float pool nurses (ASAP) at GBMC.
