Cindy Hoel

Scheduling Manager

Cindy joined the CMS family in October of 2005 as an Allied Health Scheduling Coordinator. Originally from California, Cindy attended Moorpark College for Communications in Moorpark, California. She came to Maryland in 2003 by way of Elkhart, Indiana, where she lived for nearly 20 years. Cindy started her career in customer service and office management and then decided to make a major change… she opened her own day care center. Cindy built a successful day care business and kept busy at it for ten years, only stopping when they decided to move to Maryland. She talks lovingly about all of the children she watched over the years and still maintains close relationships with many of them. With this wealth of work and life experiences, Cindy brings many wonderful skills and attributes to the CMS team.

Cindy has utilized her diverse skill set and excellent interpersonal skills to flourish within the CMS Operations Team. In 2006, Cindy expanded her role to include nursing services scheduling. In July of 2007, Cindy was promoted to Assistant Manager of Scheduling Operations and continued to take on new responsibilities within the organization. In July of 2008, Cindy was again promoted to Manager of Scheduling Operations.

Cindy lives in Freeland, Maryland with her husband, Ernie, and takes every available opportunity to visit her children, Jeremy, who serves for the U.S. Army, Jared, who attends college in Texas, and Jordan, who is pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Harrisburg, PA. When Cindy is away from work, she enjoys being outdoors and camping, traveling with family and friends, and reading a good book. Cindy also speaks another language – American Sign Language! She gives lessons and even receives a few pointers from her son, Jared, who is deaf.
